Walking Club

Focus of the club would be to working for a balance of physical activity and proper nutrition to contribute to lifelong fitness and wellness. Each grade level would have a fitness program designed to meet their individual needs. We would encourage all students interested in being healthy and fit to sign up for the after school program. Here are a few things we will be doing to built are fitness program.

  • Resistance bands – strength training – focus on working specific muscle groups
  • Cardiovascular Fitness – Pacer runs, exercise to music, individual jump rope skills, fitness games
  • Basic exercises to stretch and warm up.
  • Making healthy choices for learning and living – provide students with information on why fitness, healthy food, and personal health are important.
  • Focus more on teaching technique of skills for lifetime sports

Open to: Grades: K-3, 4-6
